Today, over 2200 amateur cyclists from all over the world competed in the Gran Fondo Il Lombardia Enel Green Power which ends the series of cycling events dedicated to amateur cyclists, organized by RCS Sports & Events.
Even as a fairly young race, the Gran Fondo Il Lombardia Enel Green Power has become a prestigious event in the Italian and international amateur cycling scene. The 111.7 km-long route (109km without the steepest part of the Colma di Sormano) gradually selected the strongest of competitors, who faced the tremendous Muro di Sormano and the Madonna del Ghisallo before returning to Cantù.
