The Gran Fondo Il Lombardia Enel will take place on Sunday, October 14. Starting from Como, it features three iconic climbs: the Ghisallo, the Sormano with Muro and Colma and finally, the Civiglio. Among the 1,500 starters, 42% are from outside Italy – including Joaquim Rodriguez, the Spanish double winner of Il Lombardia.

Como, 12 October 2018 – Sunday 14 October, the day after Il Lombardia NamedSport, Como will host the Gran Fondo Il Lombardia Enel, starting at 7.30am. 1,500 sportive riders will be at the start of a course which features three main climbs: the Madonna del Ghisallo, the Sormano with Muro and Colma, and the Civiglio, with the finish line on its summit. 42% of the starters will come from abroad, enjoying the chance for a weekend on the shores of Lake Como with a unique Monument Classic atmosphere. The two times winner of Il Lombardia, in 2012 and 2013, Joaquim “Purito” Rodriguez, will also be at the start. The Gran Fondo Il Lombardia is the last of the season’s events for sportive riders organised by RCS Sport/RCS Active Team.
